The Great Outdoors

We have fun doing great things outdoors - camping, hiking, fishing, biking and high adventure. Members of Troop 159 are also taught respect for our environment, and practice the "leave no trace" rule in our activities. We learn about conservation, self-efficiency and earn merit badges and meet rank requirements while outdoors but there is still time for camaraderie and fun.

Service to Our Community

Troop 159 performs service projects for various community organizations on a regular basis. The boys in Troop 159 fell that, even if were not required to perform projects in the community to advance in rank, helping the community would still be the right thing to do. But perhaps Scouting’s greatest service to our community is in providing encouragement and the foundation for young boys and men to live a life of integrity and leadership.
